The Henry County Vehicle Maintenance Facility is a 12,000 GSF building with associated site work intended for the County's Highway Department operations at the Cambridge Illinois site. The facility has a large vehicle maintenance space with 4 designated service bays with various equipment items. This area includes a vehicle lift, lubricant distribution equipment, compressed air, overhead crane, exhaust equipment, electrical power distribution, and other similar items. Associated spaces include staff offices, team meeting room, toilets and showers, lockers, break-room items, tool storage room, parts storage room, and a sign production shop.
An overhead mezzanine constructed over the associated spaces provides a platform for building echanical equipment, incoming electrical service panels, and dead-storage. A separate vehicle wash bay is attached and adjacent to the facility including vehicle wash equipment.
The building is accessed through a set of overhead doors allowing a one-way traffic routing for vehicles. Other personnel doors allow access to all spaces by County staff.
Site work included the preparation of the entire project area to receive a majority of the paving supplied by the Owner. Most of the remaining site work falls under this contract. Concurrently with this work, the Owner will be constructing a vehicle scale on an adjacent part of the site.
